A little bit more you say?........The property is located just East of the Snake River and Charbonneau Park, about 12 miles East of Pasco, approximately 10 miles northeast of Burbank, and 30 miles northwest of Walla Walla, in Walla Walla County, Washington.
Charbonneau "Old Vines"
Cabernet and Merlot
Rows are planted in 3 configurations N-S, E-W, and NW/SW herringbone at 4 micro-locations on bluffs above Charbonneau Park on the Snake River. Some winemakers have their favorite rows within this set of choices. Several small winemakers and the Boeing Wine club have made this a location for 20 years. Several "graduates" of the Boeing group now make wine professionally.
The grapes are usually hand harvested, with sugars and acids catalogued by various customers and shared in a database by the Owners as the harvest progresses. In addition, the microzones get coordinated with the timing of a variety of crushes. Soos Creek and some smaller customers crush at the vineyard using portable equipment. Trucking is provided when needed particularly for small to intermediate quantities.
